Innovationskompass für die öffentliche Verwaltung

Politics for Tomorrow

What was the issue?

How does innovation actually work in public administration? In CityLAB, Politics for Tomorrow is working on the development of an innovation compass for the public sector in German-speaking countries. The Innovation Compass is based on a combination of a statistical survey and a reflexive self-assessment of administrative employees to learn how new impulses are set in the public sector. In 2022, the project will enter its third round.

What are the next steps?

The Innovation Compass survey of public administration in Germany, Switzerland and Austria was launched and has completed the second round of the survey (as of the beginning of 2022). The feedback is currently being evaluated and subsequently processed in workshops and blog posts. The results are to be used as part of the CityLAB innovation offering for the Berlin administration and as overarching good practice for German public administration.

How can I join in?

The Innovation Compass survey is aimed at employees at all levels of government and administration in German-speaking countries. The questionnaire can be completed within 15 to 30 minutes, either alone or as part of a team, and can be reached below the link.
