Who’s been there? Once again you’re late for a picnic and you’re rushing to the nearest green space on your bike. People are already turning around because everything you’ve brought with you is rattling around in the basket… Halfway there, you are already exhausted – but there’s no bench in sight to save you. The good news: It’s not your fault! But: With an insider cycle route map, you could have saved ten minutes, your melon wouldn’t have been crushed and you would have found a great place to take a break.
You think that’s cool? Then let’s create such a map for Gropiusstadt together, which will make life easier for all residents and visitors. After a brief introduction, we’ll divide up the neighborhood and map the best routes, which we’ll bring together in the form of a digital map. Together, we will also take a critical look at what might be missing from the routes. After the workshop, we will also fold an analog map that you can pick up at the Kiezlabor. Your name will of course be on the map as an author.
The event will take place on site at the Kiezlabor and is free of charge. All workshop materials will be handed out on site; you are welcome to bring your own bike for the exploration (optional, otherwise on foot). We may also use our smartphones for mapping.
