On June 18, 2025, it’s that time again: the sixth edition of the annual Sommerkonferenz by CityLAB Berlin is happening! This year, we invite you to the Umweltforum in Friedrichshain, where you can look forward to engaging workshops, keynotes, dynamic panel discussions, and inspiring talks centered around the digital transformation of Berlin.
The Sommerkonferenz provides space for exchange, learning, and co-creation, focusing on topics such as digitalization, administrative innovation, Smart City, and community-oriented urban development. Together, we aim to develop pathways that shape Berlin’s future.

Last year, we welcomed over 700 guests and 70 speakers across more than 40 sessions—and in 2025, the Sommerkonferenz will once again be a central meeting point for Berlin’s urban society, administration, academia, and business community. Take this opportunity to discover new perspectives, build connections, and collaboratively shape the city of tomorrow—while having fun!
As always, the Kiezlabor, our mobile innovation hub, will be joining us. The Kiezlabor format brings the CityLAB’s prototyping approach directly into Berlin’s neighborhoods and offers space on-site for creative ideas and forward-thinking projects—this year for the first time in its new form as a cargo bike!
