Smarter logistics for Bergmannkiez
Kreuzberg’s Bergmannkiez is one of Berlin’s most ambitous projects to redistribute public space. After a number of traffic calming measures implemented in Bergmannstraße, the next step in the agenda is its transformation to a pedestrian zone.
As part of the Smart City Design master’s program, students from Kreuzberg’s Macromedia University of Applied Sciences are working in collaboration with CityLAB Berlin on a project that makes the connection between innovative solutions and co-creation.
The new Bergmannstraße will address many complaints raised as part of the citizen participation process but also make logistics and delivery traffic more challenging. During the workshop, a number of potential solutions is being presented to the audience as input for the following discussion.
