There are various things that make cycling on Kiefernstraße “dangerous,” from quarrels, accidents, and protests. Cycling must become safer! But is turning the street into a cycle lane really the right choice?
Berlin politics is not only shaped by the Rotes Rathaus. Every district has its own administration and many political actors who make decisions on a daily basis and thus impact Berliners’ everyday routines. The district council (Bezirksverordnetenversammlung/BVV) is pivotal in this process.
In the BVV simulation game, you participate in district politics together with other players. In a specific issue, you develop the stance of a fictitious party and represent it in the BVV. The objective is to submit a concrete motion to the district office.
The simulation will last approx. 90 minutes. It is open to everyone and playable without preparation or prior knowledge.
