From 18 to 20 May 2026, re:publia will once again open its doors to the digital community at STATION Berlin. Under this year’s theme, “Never gonna give you up”, the focus will be on the big questions facing the digital society: from trends and innovations to societal challenges and forward-looking technologies.

A Central Hub for Berlin’s Administrative Data – The Data Hub Prototype in Practical Use

Error 200 Data Protection: GDPR-compliant and data-sovereign AI for the Berlin administration

Generative AI is everywhere, but are public authorities allowed to use it? Data protection, transparency and hallucinations are holding things back. This talk demonstrates how BärGPT, an open-source AI, has been running productively on German servers since November, and why GDPR-compliant AI is not a compromise, but a mark of quality.
