Best practice session: Berlin’s participatory path to becoming a smart city
This year, CityLAB is an official partner to the D3 Congress on Digital Democracy. Over the course of two days, more than 80 experts and more than 500 participants will be involved in online debate of all aspects of digital democratic participation. We very much look forward to contributing to the diverse conference program!
In a best practice session, we will be presenting our experience of Berlin’s Smart City strategy process, which lasted for almost two years and sought to involve key stakeholders and Berlin’s citizens in the development of the new Smart City strategy, Gemeinsam Digital: Berlin.
We thought about how the diversity of the Berlin population might be taken into account in such a way that everyone really could contribute to the strategy. Join us and get involved in the discussion.
